The book is unique and includes a 20-year collection of photos and information about the Dassault Super Mystere B2 in the service of the Israeli AF from the end of 1958 until 1975. Squadron 105 was the sole squadron to operate the aircraft. As the first Israeli supersonic aircraft, the Super Mysteres served in their first years as interceptors. In 1962, when the Mirage IIICs entered service, they moved to be a second-line aircraft. In the late 1960s, they underwent significant maintenance procedures, mainly replacing their powerplant with a more powerful J52 engine. The aircraft served in the Six-Day War, the War of Attrition, and the Yom Kippur War. They retired in 1975 when the squadron acquired brand new F-4E Phantoms from the USA.The book includes about 420 photos and color profiles of the Super Mysteres and chronologically describes their service in the Israeli Air Force from the late 1950s to the mid-1970s.
