This rare high quality limited edition (of 3999) bear was made to commemorate the 150th birthdate of Margarete Steiff. I actually purchased this bear while at a teddy bear convention in Germany. This bear has unique pointed ears and is a replica of bear which was in a portrait of Margarete Steiff that was painted in 1947. Stuffed with wood shavings like old traditions. Signed on right foot. No box. The pricing is a steal. Paid lots for it back in 1998.
This bear is a collectors item and not suitable for children.
