This is the Nigel Cabourn Mountaineer Blanket Vest.
It's a reversible blanket vest made with a wool blanket. It's inspired by the alpaca deck vests used by the US military in the 1940s.
The pattern is not printed, but rather woven using a "jacquard weave." Jacquard weaving allows the pattern to blend more naturally with the fabric than printing, and the same pattern appears on both sides, offering the advantage of reversibility.
Blanket stitching is applied to the reverse side, resulting in a highly designed finish when reversed.
The eighth photo shows Nigel himself wearing a similar series in the past, characterized by its border pattern.
