These are the very rarely seen 3 piece US Shalers. The set to the left is a complete set and the other 2 sets are missing the nose piece. The base cup on the far right set i believe was actually carved on by the soldier. These were invented Aug 12, 1862 by Reuben Shaler and can be found on pg 61 of the McKee & Mason book and pg 106 of Howard Crouchs Civil War Artifacts. All these pieces were found in a 20 ft circle by a creek on Woodland Church Rd, Culpeper, Va in 2019. Due to their rarity, Im gonna be holding pretty firm on my price for these pieces.
